TECHNIQUES
In the creation of an image I refer to the work already conceived and already realized by another artist, but it is not only the iconographic creativity that I want to pay homage, but also the handcrafted construction, the stylistic idea or rather the technique. One of my favorite techniques was suggested by the work of Mario Consiglio that I saw in the Carbone gallery in Turin in 2002.
This technique has the particularity of being both two-dimensional and volumetric like a bas-relief, it lends itself best to express my concept of painting, precisely two-dimensional, well defined by the sign and compact in the chromatic layout. The result is a tactile and pumped visual object, I am interested in the visual effect of bulge that produces, outlining in a marked and clean way the color backgrounds. I use the bulge effect also for digital works and sometimes for pictorial art.
Nella creazione di un’immagine faccio riferimento all'opera già pensata e già realizzata da un altro artista, ma non è solo la creatività iconografica che voglio omaggiare bensì anche la costruzione artigianale, l’idea stilistica o meglio la tecnica. Una delle tecniche che preferisco mi è stata suggerita dal lavoro di Mario Consiglio che ho visto nella galleria Carbone a Torino nel 2002.
Questa tecnica ha la particolarità di essere sia bidimensionale sia volumetrica come un bassorilievo, si presta al meglio a esprimere la mia concezione di pittura, appunto bidimensionale, ben delimitata dal segno e compatta nella stesura cromatica. Il risultato è un oggetto visivo tattile e pompato, sono interessato all'effetto visivo di bombatura che produce, delineando in maniera accentuata e pulita le campiture di colore. Utilizzo l’effetto bombatura anche per le opere digitali e talvolta per l'arte pittorica.
